Feagin v. Florida International University

No. 16-24346-CIV, 2017 WL 5159771 (S.D. Fla. June 23, 2017). The Firm represented a public university in a Title IX lawsuit brought by a former undergraduate student. Following a series of successful motions to dismiss, the case proceeded to discovery on a single claim of retaliation under Title IX. During discovery, the student engaged in a pattern of dilatory conduct. The university moved for involuntary dismissal of the lawsuit as a sanction, which was granted by the United States District Court for the Southern District of Florida.
